So close!!
I am so close to being finished with my "project" I can taste it.
The strange thing is, I am about to commit myself to doing more of it. (At a later date)
I know I am being very vague about what I am doing, but as I said I can't risk surprising the people who are very close to me. Hubby knows all about what I'm doing and has been sworn to secrecy and has been very supportive throughout this whole process.
In my "off" time I have been working on a new crochet "set" of toys, but the amount of free time I have is very limited, so it will be awhile before I can show you anything finished.

Busy Busy....
Please forgive me for not posting lately.
I have been working on a personal project that is taking up most of my time.
I have a few new patterns laying around but honestly I have no time to type them up.
I can't tell you what has absorbed so much of my time, as there are people who read my blog that I intend to surprise with the result.
Don't worry, very soon I will tell y'all what's going on. I fully intend to release a pattern when I can. In the mean time keep crocheting away!!!!

Acckk!!!!!
We interrupt your regularly scheduled programing to bring you an important announcement from............EEK!!!!

Bear with me as I prepare my notes for today's broadcat. Uh -hum I meant broadcast.

Ah, that's better. As you can see I have settled in my new favorite box. Unfortunately for my person it has long been empty. Little does she know I have had a Paw in this. Now to my report.
"Good evening. I have have found startling evidence that a person, who I shall call "Jane Doe" had been hoarding crochet patterns. Causing a backlog of handwritten patterns to pile up randomly over locations that I would normally sleep on."
This reporter faithfully stalked her prey until she was able to reach "Jane" for comment. When asked about the reason for the backlog and if she was hoarding, she relied, "No, No. There is no hoarding going on here. I have just gotten a bit behind. My ideas just keep coming and I don't want to stop what I am doing to type up a pattern. I may loose my train of thought and forget what I was doing."
To which I asked what she will do about the current situation involving sleep locations. At that point "Jane" replied, "No Comment" and fled into the darkness.

Personally I think there is more to the story that "Jane" is willing to admit. I will continue my best to uncover the hidden truth behind this Tail.
Reporting live from a secret location, I'm D.C. for Channel 2 News, Goodnight.
And now back to you regularly scheduled programing.

National Crochet Month
This month is National Crochet Month!!! This is a great time to get back into crochet or get out there and share your love of Crochet!!!
Take time this month to teach someone to crochet, donate a few squares to make a charity blanket or just grab your hook and crochet out in the world.
Our local crochet group has decided we will make squares, when we have enough we'll send the finished blanket off to a local shelter.
How will you be celebrating this month?

Checking in
I haven't forgotten about ya'll. It has been a bad month. Personal health issues have been plaguing me.
Nothing life threatening but enough to have me stressed out, to the point that I have only been doing brainless crochet. You know crochet that is just repetitive and no thinking involved.
I have picked up and put down my newest projects so many times, I almost sick of looking at it. I am sorely tempted to dig out a few of my unpublished projects and get them up and going, but I lack the motivation.
Hopefully it will be all better soon.........

Brrrr.....
It's so cold here!!! The windows are iced up in the inside. With the wind chill, last week it was 35 bellow zero. Poor Puffer (outside cat) has spent the past week in the house so she doesn't freeze her tail off.
For years we have kept the house at 60 degrees to save a little on the heating bill, the down side my hands are icy cold. The funny thing as a Crocheter I should have my own afghan but I never did get around to making one for myself. And now I won't have time until it's warm enough for me not to need it.
The new pattern is giving me fits. You know how it goes, you have a picture in your mind and it doesn't quite come out that way. So I keep ripping it apart and starting over. Plus my sister-in-law is having another baby. Since I didn't make one for the first, I figure I should make one for the second one.
The baby blanket I was making for my friend is on permanent hold and is collecting dust in the small pile of misfit toys. I know I should finish it as I only have a 20 or so rows left but I have lost all motivation to complete it. I just hope that I can spur myself on to make one another one and finish it.
This week is going to be so hectic I guess I'll cut out something from my schedule. I wonder how long a person can go without sleep?

Thank Goodness it's over
I am so happy that Christmas is over!!! I worked my fingers to the bone to get all the gifts done and I still didn't make it.
My mom and grandma both got afghans (so was dad, but didn't finish it) my sister and her hubby got scarves.
On the outside that doesn't sound like much, but I didn't start them until the middle of November and the afghans were very large.
The result, no new patterns (yet). Hint, hint....
I thought about pulling a few handwritten patterns out and typing them up for y'all but to tell you the truth I just don't have the motivation. So instead I have started a new pattern. I guess it's the after the holiday slump.
The weather has turned unusually warm, melting all the snow we had for Christmas, causing D.C. to start begging to go outside. I would consider it if I wasn't sure that she would get very dirty.
I hope the New Years finds you all well.
